Where we stand.
We are not neutral on this. We profit when people use the tool, and we have a direct interest in making the experience addictive. We refuse to. Our model intentionally surfaces uncertainty, small-sample warnings, and the cases where we're wrong. We don't send push notifications about “hot streaks.” We don't do leaderboards. We don't do gamification.
If our methodology helps you bet smarter, we've succeeded. If it helps you bet more often when you shouldn't, we've failed and we want to know.
Signs to watch for.
Behavioral signs.
Chasing losses by increasing stake size after a bad run. Betting more often when stressed, bored, or upset. Hiding betting activity from family or friends. Skipping work, social plans, or sleep to bet. Lying about how much you've won or lost. Continuing to bet after promising yourself you'd stop.
Financial signs.
Borrowing money to bet — from friends, family, credit cards, or short-term loans. Falling behind on bills you used to cover. Selling possessions or dipping into savings/retirement to fund betting. Hiding the true size of your bankroll from your spouse or partner.
Emotional & relational signs.
Feeling restless or irritable when not betting. Mood that tracks your daily P&L. Arguments with loved ones about time or money spent. Loss of interest in activities you used to enjoy. Persistent thoughts about “getting even” or “the next bet that fixes everything.”
Self-reflection.
Consider, honestly:
(Adapted from the Problem Gambling Severity Index — PGSI.) In the last 12 months: Have you bet more than you could afford to lose? Have you needed to bet larger amounts to get the same level of excitement? Have you gone back another day to try to win back losses? Have you borrowed money or sold anything to bet? Have you felt that your betting might be a problem? Has your betting caused you any health issues, including stress or anxiety? Have people criticized your betting? Has your betting caused financial problems for you or your household? Have you felt guilty about how you bet?

Tools you can use.
Voluntary cooldown.
From Settings → Pause, you can lock yourself out of BallBet for 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, or 90 days. We honor it strictly — you cannot log in again until the period ends, and we auto-cancel your subscription's next renewal during the cooldown.
Mute all marketing email.
From Settings → Notifications. You will still get receipts and security emails; everything else stops.
Delete tracker history.
From Settings → Privacy & Data. Removes every play, simulation, and CLV calculation associated with your account. Irreversible.
Tools at sportsbooks (where you actually bet).
BallBet doesn't take bets, so the most important tools live at the sportsbooks you use. Every major US book (DraftKings, FanDuel, BetMGM, Caesars, etc.) offers: deposit limits (daily, weekly, monthly), loss limits, wager limits, session time limits, cooling-off periods, and full self-exclusion. Set them BEFORE you need them. Most state regulators also run a multi-operator self-exclusion list — search “[your state] problem gambling self-exclusion.”

Our commitments.
- No engagement-baiting notifications. We do not send “hot streak” or “don't miss tonight” push or email notifications. Our daily digest is opt-in and shows the same edge math you'd see on the site.
- No gamification. No leaderboards, points, levels, badges, streak counters, or competition mechanics. Performance is shown privately to you.
- Calibration is public. Anyone can audit our model's hit rate by tier at /calibration. Including losing periods. We never hide a bad week.
- Sample size on every claim. Every probability and edge percentage shows the underlying sample. We refuse to ship tools that present small-n results without warning.
- Cooldown and self-exclusion are honored strictly. Voluntary pauses fully lock your account for the chosen period. Self-exclusion is permanent, refunds the unused subscription period, deletes your data, and blocks re-signup at the same email.
- We surface this page. Footer link on every page; linked from /settings; called out in onboarding. We consider it part of the product, not a legal liability page.
Pause or close your account.
Pause for a set period.
Voluntary cooldown from Settings → Pause.
Permanent self-exclusion.
From Settings → Danger Zone → Self-exclude permanently. This action is irreversible. We will:
- Refund any unused portion of your current subscription period.
- Delete your account data within 30 days.
- Block re-signup using the same email address.

If you have questions about these commitments, or want to request a self-exclusion via support rather than the in-app tool: support@ballbet.ai.
